Chow tepis gesaan Guan Eng supaya ‘bertindak tegas’ terhadap BN

Pulau Pinang Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Chow Kon Yeow quelled concerns raised by Lim Guan Eng about the need for the united front to take decisive action in determining relations with Barisan Nasional (BN) amid the state's ties with Perikatan Nasional (PN). Chow, who serves as the state's chief minister, emphasized that PH Pulau Pinang remains committed to continuing cooperation with BN in the state government.

"No one stirred up those issues at yesterday's joint session (northern DAP representation)," he told journalists during a green energy forum at Hotel Eastin, Bayan Lepas. Earlier, Lim had urged PH Pulau Pinang to take decisive action, alleging that PN had become close allies of Umno. However, PH Pulai Pinang's leadership unanimously decided to retain the sole BN representative in the state executive council, Rashidi Zinol.

Lim criticized the decision, claiming it was difficult to understand and effectively meant unconditional support for Umno's stance in the state government. The former chief minister also pointed out PH Pulai Pinang's failure to denounce Umno Youth Chief Reezal Merican Naina Merican, who recently claimed that DAP and PKR only focused on one race.
