Afiq Fazail crowned M-League MVP after JDT’s trophy-laden season

KUALA LUMPUR – Johor Darul Ta’zim midfielder Muhammad Afiq Fazail has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Malaysia League (M-League) for the 2025/26 season. This prestigious award marks the end of a remarkable season during which the 31-year-old player played a vital role in helping the Southern Tigers retain their Super League title and claim the Charity Shield, FA Cup, and Malaysia Cup.

Afiq had previously been recognized as the Best Midfielder in the 2022 and 2023 seasons, making the 2025-2026 season his third major achievement. The MVP title adds to his impressive collection of individual accolades, following his crucial contribution with six assists last season.
