Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton runs bases, Cody Bellinger making progress

Meanwhile, Cody Bellinger, who has been dealing with a strained left hamstring, is making significant strides in his rehabilitation. Boone reported that Bellinger is running at "90 percent of his normal top speed," indicating a promising recovery. However, Bellinger has been sidelined since July 26 and currently faces a four-to-six week return window. Despite occasional lingering tightness, Boone remains confident in Bellinger's progress.

Carlos Rodon, who has been struggling with elbow inflammation, is scheduled to participate in a minor league rehab start on Thursday at Class AA Somerset. Having thrown 48 pitches in his previous outing, Rodon may return to the Yankees' rotation as early as next week, albeit with a limited pitch count. Meanwhile, Aaron Judge, sidelined by a right rib fracture, remains the furthest from a return, though both he and the Yankees believe he will be back before the regular season concludes.

Lastly, Luis Gil, who has been dealing with shoulder inflammation, began a minor league rehab assignment, starting with one scoreless inning at Class A Hudson Valley. Despite pitching on Saturday, Gil could potentially serve as a bullpen option for the Yankees in 2026.
