Wong Chen apologises to Subang folk for resigning early as MP

Former Subang MP Wong Chen has offered an apology to his former constituents for resigning prematurely from his position as a member of Parliament. In a press conference at the Bersama headquarters in Puchong, Wong revealed that he had served diligently and represented the people of Subang and Kelana Jaya for over 13 years, starting from 2013.

Despite expressing no regrets about his tenure, Wong cited his decision to step down one year early before Parliament's automatic dissolution as something he would regret. He stated that he had the opportunity to remain in office until the legislature was dissolved but chose to resign instead. Wong's reason for resigning as both the Subang MP and PKR member was rooted in his belief in defending democracy and upholding the Federal Constitution.

He affirmed that his record and conscience were clear, adding that he had no qualms about his actions. Wong officially resigned from his Subang MP position on Monday and subsequently left PKR to join Bersama, alongside other PKR MPs who attended the party's launch in May.
