Wike closes secretariat of dissolved committee on sale of FG houses in FCT

Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has ordered the closure of the Secretariat of the dissolved Ad-hoc Committee on Sales of Federal Government Houses in the FCT, effective immediately. According to a statement released on Wednesday by Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media Lere Olayinka, Wike has also approved the establishment of a division within the Department of Land Administration to manage matters related to the sale of Federal Government Houses in the FCT, responsibilities that were previously handled by the now-defunct committee.

Once the committee's tasks are finished, the Secretariat will be fully disbanded, and the public is advised to contact the Department of Land Administration for all inquiries concerning the sale of government houses in the capital territory. The public is further cautioned against falling prey to fraudsters who may impersonate former committee staff or members, as the committee and its secretariat are no longer operational.
