Why North is allowing Tinubu get away with everything – Baba-Ahmed

National Chairman of the People Redemption Party, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has accused President Bola Tinubu of giving the rights of the North to the South-West without any resistance. In an interview on Symfoni TV, Baba-Ahmed pointed out the violence and killings happening in various states of the North and criticized the 18 northern governors who are supporting the President. He warned that such support for Tinubu is harmful to the region.

Baba-Ahmed stated that the North is not resisting Tinubu's policies because the people who should resist have surrendered to him. He lamented that there is hardly any day without people being killed in the North. Out of the 32 governors in the All Progressives Congress, APC, 18 of them are from the North, leaving only Bauchi state governor as the lone dissenter. Baba-Ahmed called out the need for someone to tell Tinubu that something is wrong with his approach towards the North, but he believes that no one dares to do so.
