Who is Latiesha Dukes? Lindsay Clancy's counselor makes shocking revelations about ‘crisis hotline ASPIRE’

Latiesha Dukes, a counselor at the Perinatal Behavioral Health Clinic of South Shore Hospital, provided testimony on Wednesday regarding her sessions with Lindsay Clancy in the months preceding the tragic murder of her three children. Clancy, who was under Dukes' care from November to December, had been prescribed various psychiatric medications by two nurse practitioners during her time at the clinic.

In a video therapy session on December 12, 2022, Dukes advised Clancy to seek a higher level of care through an outpatient program for postpartum mothers. She told Clancy about Women and Infants Hospital in Rhode Island the week before the tragic incident. Dukes had four meetings with Clancy between December 2 and December 19, 2022.

Clancy did not express any suicidal intentions during her sessions with Dukes, despite experiencing intrusive suicidal thoughts, insomnia, anxiety, postpartum depression, and occasional suicidal thoughts. Clancy had contacted the crisis hotline ASPIRE twice, but both times were denied assistance, according to Dukes. Clancy's attorney, Kevin Reddington, questioned Dukes about this, stating, "Two times she contacted ASPIRE, not once. Both times they told her there was nothing they could do for her?"

On December 5, Clancy informed Dukes of a difficult weekend filled with intrusive suicidal thoughts, but the crisis hotline denied help due to Clancy not having a clear plan to act on her thoughts. Dukes testified that Clancy was told she did not meet the criteria for inpatient treatment due to the lack of a plan to commit suicide.

Clancy, along with her ex-husband, has filed lawsuits against the medical professionals and hospitals involved, alleging overmedication and a failure to diagnose her properly with bipolar disorder and postpartum psychosis.
