Who are Lindsay Clancy prosecutors? Meet Jennifer Sprague and Shanan Buckingham who are leading case against Duxbury mom

Assistant District Attorneys Jennifer Sprague and Shanan Buckingham are spearheading the prosecution against Lindsay Clancy, a mother from Duxbury, who stands accused of murdering her three young children in 2023. Clancy, 36, is charged with the deaths of her 5-year-old daughter Cora, 3-year-old son Dawson, and 8-month-old son Callan in January of that year.

Sprague and Buckingham assert that Clancy used exercise bands to strangle the children in their Duxbury basement while her husband, Patrick Clancy, was away. Clancy's defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, claims she was overmedicated and lacked mental capacity due to postpartum depression and psychosis at the time of the murders. Clancy fell from a second-story window after the incident.

Sprague and Buckingham are assistant district attorneys for the Commonwealth, representing the Plymouth County District Attorney's office. They handle various judicial proceedings, including criminal trials and arraignments.
