Vic Fangio, Jalen Carter see a faster Jalen Hurts this summer

Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio assessed Jalen Hurts as moving faster on the field this summer. According to Fangio, who spoke at a Tuesday press conference, Hurts appears to be "having a good camp" and is "moving good." Fangio's observation aligns with that of Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter, who stated, "Oh yeah, I had him coming out of a little play-action rollout and I chased him down a couple times. He be moving. He’s been working hard and he’s the one."

Carter's assessment was echoed by Hurts' performance on the practice field, where he has been running more in offensive coordinator Sean Mannion's scheme. This combination with a slight increase in speed has the potential to boost Hurts' numbers, which dipped last season to 421 yards, his lowest output in six years as the team's starter. The Eagles' defensive unit believes Hurts' improved movement on the field is a result of his adaptation to the new offense and his dedication to improvement.
