Could former Gunner join Spurs this summer?

Reports indicate that former Arsenal player Folarin Balogun may be on the move this summer, with Tottenham Hotspur showing interest in signing the AS Monaco striker. Balogun's agent, Santi Aouna, mentioned that Tottenham is a priority target for the player, who has given the go-ahead for a potential transfer. However, there has been no official offer yet, as discussions are ongoing between the parties.

Tottenham Hotspur have shown interest in Balogun, but Fabrizio Romano states that nothing is concrete or advanced at this stage. Meanwhile, clubs like Galatasaray and Saudi Arabian teams have also shown interest in the player. Balogun's contract at Monaco runs until 2028, but there have been no talks over an extension, with early discussions with potential suitors already taking place.

According to reports, Monaco is seeking a fee of around €50m (£43.1m) for Balogun, although this amount may change. Arsenal holds a 17.5% sell-on clause in Balogun's deal, having paid around £35m in August 2023, with approximately £26m guaranteed and the remainder in potential add-ons. If Balogun does move to Tottenham, the striker's departure could be a blow to his former club.
