NEW DELHI: Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran announced on Wednesday his decision to step down from his post, despite his tenure being scheduled to conclude in February 2027. The Tata group executive will continue in his role until the predetermined end date, with the absence of unanimous support from the company's board leading to the postponement of the reappointment decision.

Chandrasekaran expressed gratitude for his 40-year professional journey at the Tata Group, crediting the organization with being a great honor and responsibility.
