Super Eagles forward Dessers fires club into Conference League play-offs

Nigeria international forward Cyriel Dessers netted a crucial extra-time goal as Panathinaikos triumphed 3-2 on aggregate over CSKA 1948 in the UEFA Conference League play-offs. The Greek side will advance to the next round after securing a 2-1 win at CSKA's Vasil Levski National Stadium. Dessers restored Panathinaikos' lead in the 94th minute, following Lasha Dvali's equaliser two minutes earlier.

The victory came after Panathinaikos took an early 1-0 lead through Levi Garcia's goal in the 66th minute. CSKA equalised in the 92nd minute, but Panathinaikos quickly retook the lead through Dessers' decisive strike. The Greek club had earlier been held to a 1-1 draw by CSKA at the Olympic Stadium in Athens.
