Silver feels great for Azu after up-and-down year

Welsh sprinter Jeremiah Azu expressed delight at winning silver in the European Championships 100m final in Birmingham. Englishman Romell Glave claimed gold with a time of 10.09 seconds, while Azu crossed the line in 10.16 seconds. The victory came the day after British athlete Amy Hunt won the women's event. Azu told BBC One Breakfast that silver feels great, especially since the gold went to a teammate, making the accomplishment even better.

He added that finishing the year with a medal, after an up-and-down year, was fantastic. Azu credits the Birmingham crowd for making it easy for them to perform their best. He emphasized how rare it is to have such an opportunity in their careers, and they did what they set out to do - secure the gold and silver in the 100m race.

Despite setbacks like finishing fourth at the World Indoor Championships and fifth at the Commonwealth Games, Azu remains focused on his passion for inspiring youth through his experiences.
