As summer comes to an end, it's time to plan those last UK holidays. We've compiled a list of our favorite UK-based weekend getaways, from a city break in Bath to a luxury stay at Gleneagles.

Harbour Beach Club & Hotel in Salcombe, Devon, is a chic and modern waterside village. The controversial Harbour Beach Club, despite protests, offers a lovely terrace and seafood, while the main Salcombe bay can be reached via an amphibious vehicle.

The Angel in Abergavenny, amid the Brecon Beacons, showcases the town's gentrification with hipster bakeries and artists' galleries. The historic hotel offers punchy cocktails, opulent rooms, and old-school service.

Broughton Sanctuary in Yorkshire is the private estate of Roger Tempest, who calls himself the 'custodian.' Guests can enjoy retreats, an exceptional restaurant, and beautifully landscaped grounds. The main house and cottages provide a serene setting.
