President in catering truck: Media: Threat of rocket the reason for Trump's deception

The United States' President Donald Trump experienced a deception maneuver during his return flight from the NATO summit in Turkey, according to US media. CNN reported on an informant who claimed a specific threat from a shoulder-launched missile. The New York Times cited two sources familiar with the matter, indicating a concrete threat from a ground-to-air missile targeting President Trump's aircraft, Air Force One.

Nearby, an individual with a shoulder-launched missile was reportedly seen. Officials feared that President Trump was in grave danger, noting that Iran had obtained detailed information about his stay in Turkey and knew his exact whereabouts in Ankara, including the floor. In a twist, Trump boarded a catering container in front of cameras, which took him to an inconspicuous location for a smaller US military aircraft, allowing him to fly to Britain covertly.

The New York Times and Fox News reported that Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent remained in the presidential plane. The aircraft was escorted by fighter jets during the flight from Turkey to Britain. After landing in Britain, the president's entourage switched from the older, light-blue Boeing 747 to a new jet gifted by Qatar.

The president then transferred to Air Force One. The public was led to believe he had spent the entire journey in the presidential aircraft. He then emerged from the plane in front of cameras.
