Police in Spain bust network accused of trafficking migrant girls

The Upper West Regional Police Command has apprehended six individuals allegedly linked to an armed robbery syndicate operating in the Wa West District and Wa Municipality. The suspects, including Amadu Moro, Adama Yussif, Nasiru Abdul Rahman, Iddrissu Adama, Korika Issaka, and Zakaria Brigi, were caught after a string of robberies where victims were assaulted with machetes and forced to reveal their Mobile Money (MoMo) PINs. The robbers then transferred funds from the victims' accounts into accounts controlled by the criminals.
Nasiru Abdul Rahman, one of the suspects, sustained injuries and died at the Upper West Regional Hospital. The arrested suspects are believed to have stolen approximately GH¢22,070 in cash and an additional GH¢3,274 from victims' MoMo accounts. Seven mobile phones were seized and are being examined further. Two additional suspects, Haruna, 30, and Amadu Mahamudu, 24, remain at large and are wanted for questioning.
