Pahang Umno open to working with Pas, says Wan Rosdy

BENTONG: Pahang Umno is willing to collaborate with any political party, including Pas, if it serves the best interests of the state's people, according to Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail. The Pahang Menteri Besar emphasized that the state government is primarily focused on serving the people, with the next general election neither imminent nor far away.

Wan Rosdy firmly denied any claims that Pahang Umno had rejected cooperation with Pas, stating that anyone making such assertions should clarify their source. Despite the election's proximity, their priority remains delivering work for the people, he told reporters. When asked about Pahang Pas commissioner Datuk Rosli Abdul Jabar's previous remarks that the party would contest against Umno if political cooperation talks failed to materialize for the 16th General Election, Wan Rosdy questioned the validity of these claims, asserting that he had not made such a statement.
