Netanyahu gave a ‘victory to Hamas’ by rejecting US-backed Gaza peace plan

Yisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Liberman claimed that the 15-point Gaza Board of Peace plan grants Hamas' military wing $160 million in cash. This came after a KAN report on Tuesday highlighted vague language in the agreement stating that up to $400 million could be transferred to Gaza suppliers and contract holders. Liberman, during a visit to Gaza, said that he witnessed the transfer of $160 million directly to Hamas' military wing in cash, based on an existing agreement between Hamas and the suppliers.

He expressed deep alarm over the situation, stating that there are no IDF soldiers left in the area between the Purple Line and Yellow Line in the Gaza Strip. Liberman also accused the United States and Israel's political echelon of severely hindering IDF operations in Gaza. He pointed out that a recent incident where IDF commanders encountered a group of 50 Hamas Nuhkba terrorists training for a settlement raid resulted in IDF commanders being ordered not to take any action, even with a warning shot, which Liberman described as a capitulation to terror and a return to containment policies.

The IDF later refuted Liberman's claims, stating that the supposed training exercise was planned but never took place, as they were on high alert and did not detect the activity.
