Incumbent Western North NPP Regional Chairman withdraws from seeking re-election

Benjamin Armah, the incumbent Western North Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has announced his withdrawal from the re-election race for the party’s regional executive elections. Armah made the decision following deep reflection and consultations with his family, friends, and key stakeholders. He emphasized that it was necessary to prioritize the unity, stability, and strategic strength of the party over personal ambition.

The statement came from Sefwi Wiawso, where Armah expressed appreciation to party members for their support during his candidature. He subsequently pledged his full and unequivocal support to McDaniels Nyame, describing him as a dedicated party member with the necessary qualities to lead the Western North Region. Armah called on his supporters to transfer their confidence and support to Mr Nyame, emphasizing that his withdrawal did not signify a withdrawal from party activities.

He reconfirmed his commitment to serving the NPP in whatever capacity is required. The NPP in the Western North Region was expected to hold its regional executive elections soon, as the party embarked on reorganization ahead of the 2028 general election.
