Narwekar Seeks Shivaji Maharaj Slogans On Trains Arriving At, Departing From CSMT

Mumbai Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar has requested Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to incorporate the slogans "Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ki Jai" and "Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji" into the regular announcements made on all trains arriving at or departing from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). In a letter written during his visit to Delhi, Narwekar highlighted the significance of CSMT as a historic railway station and a symbol of the ideals of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, such as courage, Swarajya and patriotism.

The speaker argued that the proposed announcements would provide an opportunity to introduce younger generations to Shivaji Maharaj's administration, bravery, welfare policies and commitment to the nation. He also emphasized Shivaji Maharaj's role in uniting people from diverse backgrounds while establishing Swarajya. Narwekar requested Vaishnaw to consider the proposal favorably and provide necessary instructions to the railway administration to integrate these slogans into all announcements on trains at CSMT.

He expressed optimism that this initiative would help disseminate the message of Shivaji Maharaj's contributions and the principles of Swarajya beyond Maharashtra through the extensive railway network.
