List of all 26 vacation judges nationwide and their courts

There is a controversy surrounding 26 judges across the nation on legal vacation. Two lawyers, Godfred Dame and Atta Akyea, have petitioned Chief Justice protesting the continuation of cases against their clients. Dame represents former CEO Hanan Abdul-Wahab Aludiba and his wife, while Akyea defends former Director-General Kwabena Adu-Boahene and his wife. These politically exposed individuals, who held positions in the NPP administration, have led to accusations of selective case selection.

The Chief Justice authorized these 26 judges to hear all substantive cases during the vacation, with each issuing a warrant. These judges are stationed in various regions, handling hundreds of cases rather than just a few. The vacation judges will also manage emergency processes for other courts, which some may interpret as moving beyond their intended scope.
