LG Electronics Launches FDA-Approved Diagnostic Monitor

LG Electronics has unveiled a new diagnostic monitor that has received medical device approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), emphasizing its commitment to expanding the high-performance medical display market. The 40-inch device boasts a curved IPS Black panel, a resolution of 5120x2160, and a total of 11MP, enabling tasks that would typically require three 3MP monitors to be performed on a single screen.

This reduces the visual borders that appear when connecting multiple monitors, facilitating easier reading of medical images.

The device incorporates various user-friendly technologies. It features a '3PBP' (3 Picture By Picture) function, dividing the screen into three sections to display different image sources simultaneously. Additionally, it includes a built-in 'KVM Switch' that allows control of two PCs using a single keyboard and mouse, thereby enhancing work efficiency.

The monitor also offers specialized modes to support precise diagnosis. The 'Focus View' mode highlights areas of interest using only mouse and keyboard controls, without enlarging specific parts. Moreover, the 'Pathology' mode adjusts resolution and color to ensure clear visualization of detailed pathological structures, such as cells.

The hardware design has been tailored to streamline management in medical settings. The calibration sensor, responsible for maintaining the monitor's brightness and contrast, has been designed for easy detachment to improve maintenance efficiency. Medical imaging monitors installed in hospitals can be remotely integrated and managed through 'LG Calibration Studio Medical', LG Electronics' proprietary software.

This enables medical staff to consistently maintain the status of multiple monitors and ensure diagnostic reliability.
