Late ANC Gauteng leader Mzi Khumalo described as loyal member

African National Congress (ANC) Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula has paid tribute to late Gauteng ANC leader and former Minister of Economic Development Mzikayifane “Mzi” Khumalo, describing him as a loyal member, activist and dedicated cadre who served the party with commitment. Khumalo, who passed away at the age of 54 on Monday, held various leadership positions within the ANC, including serving as a Gauteng MEC and ANC Gauteng spokesperson.

Mbalula expressed deep sorrow over Khumalo's death, stating that the ANC is particularly saddened by his passing at a time when his skills and capabilities are needed most. He emphasized that Khumalo played a pivotal role in the structures of the Youth League and the ANC over the years. "He’s an activist and a cadre of the movement.
