IYD: Your energy, ideas needed, Soludo’s wife celebrates Nigerian youths

On International Youth Day, Anambra State First Lady Dr Nonye Soludo addressed the nation's young people, urging them to believe in themselves and continue learning. Soludo emphasized that young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but active changemakers who are shaping the world today. She is the founder of the NGO Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, and she founded the organization to empower young people.

Soludo highlighted that the ideas, energy, and courage of young people are crucial for building the future society everyone desires. In a press statement, she stressed that young people should not underestimate their potential to make a difference. She called for creating spaces where young people can learn, build, lead, and thrive, ensuring every young person has the opportunity to discover their potential and turn their dreams into meaningful impact.

The Nigerian government has announced plans to attach 300 corps members to CNG centers after their training. Additionally, the Federal Government is distributing starter packs to 18,510 trained artisans. The Batn Foundation is urging investment in youths for Nigeria's economic growth. Soludo reminded young people to believe in themselves, stay healthy, and never underestimate their ability to shape the future.

She highlighted the challenges and opportunities facing young people globally and celebrated their role as essential partners in achieving sustainable development. International Youth Day, designated by the United Nations, is observed annually on August 12 to draw attention to the cultural and legal issues surrounding young people.
