I’m not relying on external forces to win- Oyebamiji

Bola Oyebamiji, the APC governorship candidate for Osun State, declared his unwavering confidence in defeating incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke in the upcoming election on August 15, 2026. Refuting opposition claims, Oyebamiji insisted that his campaign was not reliant on federal support, asserting that his backing stemmed directly from the people of Osun State.

Speaking at an Arise Townhall, Oyebamiji detailed his extensive consultations across the state, visiting over 30 local government areas on three occasions to engage with party members, community leaders, and various stakeholders. He emphasized that these visits were unprecedented, highlighting the overwhelming support he received from APC members who expressed their readiness to assume control of the state government.

Oyebamiji further visited local government areas to inaugurate campaign canvassers, noting that the enthusiasm and motivation among these volunteers further solidified his belief in the electorate's readiness for change. He also consulted with community leaders, artisans, market groups, civil servants, and other stakeholders, reaffirming his conviction that Osun residents were prepared for a shift in leadership.

Rejecting suggestions that his campaign depended on political influence outside the state, Oyebamiji emphasized that the election would ultimately be determined by the voters. He claimed that his campaign had garnered endorsements from approximately 42 sectors and groups within the state over the past two months, including traders, women, youths, and various other organizations.

Oyebamiji dismissed concerns about Adeleke's popularity, urging voters to evaluate the candidates' qualifications, experience, and capacity to govern before casting their ballots.
