I resigned from my office job to pursue music – Perez Musik

Ghanaian gospel musician Perez Musik has shared that he left his office job at GHOne TV to follow his passion for music. After completing his studies at NAFTI, he served at GHOne TV owned by Chatterhouse, then began working there as a producer, editor, and director. Perez Musik had set aside music for a while, focusing instead on voiceovers, radio adverts, and a Christian program called Shades, featuring gospel musicians.

However, after two years, he realized he needed to prioritize his music. In a moment of clarity, he resigned from his job, driven by a desire to focus fully on his craft and avoid neglecting his own talent while building someone else's. The decision, though challenging, was inspired by a book that advocated for "burning bridges" when pursuing goals.

Perez Musik credits Chatterhouse for providing him with valuable opportunities that supported his music journey. Despite the uncertainty, he has no regrets about leaving the office job, as it has led to a successful career in Ghana's music scene.
