Google TV now has 10,000 free movies and shows waiting for you

Google TV Freeplay has expanded its offerings to include over 10,000 movies and TV shows for viewers to enjoy without a subscription. This new video-on-demand library joins the service's growing collection of free live channels, all supported by ads. The on-demand content is sourced from studios such as A24 and Lionsgate, featuring titles like Lady Bird, 17 Again, and Hell's Kitchen.

The service plans to refresh its library throughout the year, providing users with a variety of shows and movies to watch on their own schedule. Google has also added more than 300 new free channels, including news, sports, reality TV, true crime, and other categories. These channels can be accessed directly from the Google TV home screen through the Freeplay app.

However, Freeplay is currently exclusive to Google TV devices in the United States. Meanwhile, Apple is reportedly testing the ability to connect more than two HomePods together for surround sound, while JMGO has unveiled its IRIS Series of projectors with a true 4K resolution at a 120Hz refresh rate. The Timekettle W4 Plus AI Interpreter Earbuds, unveiled at IFA 2026, are designed to handle real conversations, phone calls, and foreign-language shows, making them a step beyond existing language translation earbuds.
