Golden State general manager Mike Dunleavy optimistic Stephen Curry will finish career with Warriors

San Francisco (AP) — The Golden State Warriors are confident that Stephen Curry will finish his career with the team, according to general manager Mike Dunleavy. Despite Curry's age and injury concerns, he has expressed his desire to continue playing for the Warriors. Curry, 38, is set to complete a $62.6 million extension for the 2026-27 season in August 2024.

General manager Dunleavy stated that while ultimately it's Curry's decision whether to extend his contract or move on, the team wouldn't be opposed to moving him if he desires. Curry's performance this season was impacted by a right knee injury, limiting him to 43 games. The Warriors, who finished 10th in the Western Conference, hope to rectify their performance with the return of Draymond Green, Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford, and Gary Payton II.
