'Gemini Is Our Fastest-Growing Product Ever': Sundar Pichai As App Crosses 1 Billion Monthly Users

Google's Gemini app has reached a significant milestone, boasting 1 billion monthly active users, according to CEO Sundar Pichai. In his words, "This is our fastest growing product ever," and it marks the 14th Google product to achieve this milestone. Among Google's existing products, Gemini joins the ranks of Search, Gmail, Android, Maps, Chrome, Play, and YouTube.

Pichai praised the hard work of Josh Woodward, the Google Labs vice-president, and the Gemini team. The rapid growth, which saw the app jump from 650 million users in October 2025 to over 950 million by July, has been attributed to the app's seamless integration with Search, Workspace, and Android. The announcement comes as Google prepares to unveil more Gemini-powered features for its Pixel devices during the Made by Google event.
