Denzel Curry and Kenneth Blume to Reunite for New Album ii, Unleash “DIFFERENCE”: Stream

Denzel Curry and Kenneth Blume, better known as Kenny Beats, have announced their reunion for a new album titled "ii." The project is set to drop on August 21st through Loma Vista Recordings. Fans can currently stream the first single, "DIFFERENCE," now.

This marks the second collaboration between the two artists, following their 2020 work together on the album "UNLOCKED." For "ii," they kept things simple and intimate, working exclusively with a Roland SP-404 beat machine and a "cheap mic." The lineup also includes appearances from Yebba, JPEGMAFIA, and Westside Gunn.

Speaking about the process, Blume shared, "The work Denzel and I do has never been easy, which is why it's so rewarding. We've started every project on opposite sides of a coin and fought our way to the center. When I hear this album, I hear the growth and the fight in equal parts." He adds that "DIFFERENCE" showcases the duo's evolution and the challenges they've overcome.

"DENZEL CURRY" and "KENNETH BLUME" are both ramping up their busy schedules. Besides contributing to the new album "ii," Curry recently supported Deftones on their UK/Europe tour and is set to join Knocked Loose on their fall tour. Meanwhile, Blume produced the critically acclaimed "Geese's Getting Killed" and recently collaborated with Rico Nasty on their latest project, "RX," as well as "FATHERS" with Nate Smith, CARRTOONS, and Kiefer.
