Cristiano Ronaldo marries long-time partner Georgina in private Portugal wedding

Cristiano Ronaldo tied the knot with his longtime partner, Georgina Rodriguez, in a private civil ceremony in Portugal on Tuesday. The Portuguese football star, 41, posted a photo of the couple holding hands, each wearing a wedding ring. Portuguese media hailed the union as "the wedding of the year," reporting that the couple exchanged vows on August 11th near Lisbon, the country's capital.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez have been together for ten years, meeting at a Gucci outlet in Madrid where Rodriguez was employed at the time. Ronaldo admitted in his Netflix series, I Am Georgina, that he did not initially anticipate their relationship to become so serious, saying, "I didn't think at the beginning that this would be this strong, that I would fall in love with her."

The couple announced their engagement exactly one year ago, on August 11th, 2025, and are parents to daughters Alana and Bella, as well as Ronaldo's two older children with his previous partner: Cristiano Jr. and twins Eva Maria and Mateo. The family faced grief in 2022 after Bella's twin brother, Angel, died shortly after birth during Ronaldo's second stint with Manchester United.
