Big Cabinet Reshuffle Likely This Month

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is currently evaluating the performance of federal ministers and ministries, with the government potentially planning a cabinet reshuffle, according to multiple sources. The Prime Minister's Office has requested performance reports from federal ministries and divisions since February 2024, with the reports expected to help determine the future roles of cabinet members.

Shehbaz Sharif has also been holding individual meetings with federal ministers to assess their performance and progress. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has called for a more thorough assessment of cabinet members and suggested a third-party audit of ministry performance. Any cabinet reshuffle is anticipated to occur following the completion of the performance review.
