Barcelona have already begun their search to find the next Ronald Araujo – report

Barcelona has reportedly launched a search for the next Ronald Araujo, according to a recent report. The Catalan club agreed to loan the Uruguayan to Liverpool for the 2026-27 season, covering all of his wages and retaining the option to buy him for around €55 million. Araujo's journey from Boston River to Barcelona has been hailed as one of the club's most successful recruitment deals in recent years.

Signed for just €1.7 million in 2018, he quickly became a first-team regular and captain, making the loan deal a blueprint for Barcelona's scouting efforts.
