As Amit Shah offers discussion, Rahul Gandhi says, ‘not interested in a lecture’

Union Home Minister Amit Shah offered to answer questions from the Opposition on Wednesday, but Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi rejected the offer, accusing Shah of being absent for the past 20 days. Gandhi claimed that the government was now making a last-ditch effort to revive their position. He stated that the Opposition is not interested in hearing lectures or a discussion, but demands specific answers about the alleged police action against students during their protest over the NEET paper leak issue.

Gandhi questioned who ordered the police to shoot and injure students, and who gave the order to beat students with lathis having nails. He alleged that the Home Ministry implemented these orders. Gandhi accused Shah of lacking courage and claimed that his silence speaks volumes. He further accused Shah of disappearing during a 20-day parliamentary standoff, despite his movements being visible.

Gandhi rejected the BJP's allegation that he remained silent on violence against students in Jharkhand, stating that he had openly criticized any such violence. He also criticized the media for interrupting him while he was speaking, stating that the media seems to stand in awe of Shah.
