After Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor gets Delhi HC relief against obscene social media content

The Delhi High Court has granted Delhi High Court relief to Bollywood actress Khushi Kapoor by ordering the removal of obscene and profane social media content related to her. The court also directed the deletion of material associated with unauthorized merchandise sales using her persona. This decision followed the earlier relief granted to her sister Janhvi Kapoor, who received a similar order from the court to eliminate obscene and pornographic content about her online.

In response to Khushi's plea for protection of her personality and publicity rights, Justice Jyoti Singh announced a John Doe order, providing her with protection from unidentified persons exploiting her identity. The court declined to impose a blanket ban on fan clubs and fan pages under her name, emphasizing that criticism and online abuse are part of public life.

Justice Anup Jairam Bhambhani questioned the scope of the court's authority, wondering where to draw the line between obscenity and legitimate criticism. Both Khushi Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor are daughters of producer Boney Kapoor and the late actor Sridevi.
