Zuckerberg warns of risks from AI concentration in hands of few

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg cautioned on Monday about the risks associated with a few individuals, businesses, governments, or AI itself holding superintelligence. Zuckerberg emphasized that no single technological solution can reconcile the diverse interests and values of different stakeholders. Any singular superintelligence would inevitably have to prioritize certain values over others. To address this, Zuckerberg proposed that everyone should have equal access to AI, transforming it into a tool that fosters entrepreneurship and contributes to a more dynamic economy.

According to Zuckerberg, AI is already empowering individuals to develop their ideas independently, without relying on external funding or large teams. He predicted that this trend would eventually result in job growth rather than job losses. Furthermore, Zuckerberg stated that AI would accelerate research across scientific disciplines, including biology, leading to groundbreaking discoveries.
