Who is Emily Thorndike? Lindsay Clancy's attorney demands testimony of ex-McLean Hospital therapist after TikTok video

Lindsay Clancy's attorney, Kevin Reddington, has requested that Emily Thorndike, a former therapist at McLean Hospital, be permitted to testify regarding the hospital's conditions and staffing levels during Clancy's admission for suicidal ideation in January 2023. Thorndike, who was employed at the facility a year prior to Clancy's admission, shared a TikTok video expressing her frustration over misinformation about McLean Hospital.

Clancy tragically took the lives of her children on January 24, 2023, just five days after her admission. Reddington argued that Thorndike's testimony would reveal a "woeful environment" at McLean, especially during holiday periods, when no one was present to support patients. However, the judge, William Sullivan, ruled that Thorndike should not be allowed to testify, stating that she was no longer employed at the hospital during Clancy's stay and that her testimony should not be considered a review of McLean Hospital like TripAdvisor.
