‘When are you going to Jharkhand?’ CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke answers, comments on police lathi-charge on students

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has harshly criticized police actions against student protesters in Jharkhand, describing the events as "extremely unfortunate." He likened the situation to a previous incident at Jantar Mantar on July 20, where similar police brutality occurred. On August 10, students faced tear gas and lathi charges from the police in Jharkhand, leading Dipke to question why such force is consistently directed at students rather than politicians.

He expressed confusion over why tear gas and lathi charges are always used against students, while political parties face fewer such measures. Dipke had spoken with Devendra Nath Mahato, the leader of the Jharkhand student movement, who was on a nine-day hunger strike when police subjected him to lathi charges. Mahato is currently hospitalized with a concerning condition.

Dipke urged governments nationwide to reflect on such incidents and emphasized that students are fighting for their rights and future, not for vote banks. His team remains present in Jharkhand to support the movement, focusing on strengthening Mahato and the students rather than seeking personal publicity.
