Wallabies lock Miles Amatosero banned 3 weeks for dangerous play in rugby test against Japan

Wallabies lock Miles Amatosero has received a three-week ban for dangerous play during Australia's rugby test victory over Japan in Osaka. The suspension includes a match against Japan on Saturday, a club game in Sydney, and a test against Argentina on August 29. Amatosero was shown a red card late in the first half after making contact with an opposing player's head during a maul.

The southern hemisphere rugby judiciary committee suspended him for the duration of the ban, which overlaps with other matches. Amatosero, who stands 203 centimeters (6 feet 8 inches) tall, made his test debut in Joe Schmidt's final match as head coach against Italy last month. He was selected to start in the current match under new coach Les Kiss.
