Korea's U-17 girls' volleyball team has won five consecutive matches at the 2024 FIVB Girls' U17 Volleyball World Championship, securing a spot in the round of 16. The Korean team, led by head coach Park Soon-ja, defeated Argentina 3-1 (25-17, 25-18, 17-25, 25-14) in their fifth match of the group stage at the championship held in Lima, Peru, on August 24. With this win, Korea finished the group stage with five consecutive victories, emerging as the leader of Group C. In the round of 16, Korea will face the runner-up of Group D. The match is scheduled to take place on August 26. Korea's U-17 girls' volleyball team has been training together for about a month to prepare for this championship. The team has shown a strong performance, with all five starting players scoring in double digits in their previous match against Egypt. The Korean team's next match will be against the Dominican Republic in the round of 16 on August 26.
