Trump left Turkey on secret third plane over Iran assassination threat: report

Last month, US President Donald Trump embarked on a secret military flight from Turkey due to an Iranian threat, according to the Washington Post. The president had initially taken the newly renovated Qatari-donated jet to Ankara for the Nato summit but switched to an older Air Force One when departing the country. This unexpected turn prompted questions about the security of the newer plane.

The trip to Nato was the first international travel for the Qatari-donated jet and occurred as tensions escalated with Iran, a neighboring country. Upon boarding the older Air Force One in Ankara, Trump was covertly transferred to an Air Force C-32A by an airport catering truck. The C-32A flew to Britain, arriving shortly after the older Air Force One and accompanying media.

Trump expressed his preference for the older plane, stating it was for "old time's sake" while the new plane stopped at the same base for US service members to tour. The White House maintained that the Qatari-donated jet had been fitted with high-level security protocols, ensuring the safety of the president and his staff. Meanwhile, the Pentagon did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the secret flight.
