Tian Tian Chicken Rice now has a flagship eatery at Jewel Changi Airport, with new chicken curry

Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice, a Michelin Bib Gourmand eatery, has launched a flagship restaurant at Jewel Changi Airport. The new location offers outlet-exclusive dishes, including a chicken curry recipe crafted by founder Foo Kui Lian. Despite Tian Tian's famous Hainanese chicken rice, queues often form at the Maxwell Food Centre stall due to sold-out food and limited availability for short-term visitors.

Foo Kui Lian established the stall in 1986 with her uncle, and it has since expanded to six locations in Singapore. The Jewel restaurant boasts a signature blue color scheme, rattan lampshades, and greenery seating. It features a Jewel Signature Exclusive menu with additional dishes like ngoh hiang, Hainanese pork chop, and Thai-style fried tofu.

The family's secret chicken curry, previously only known to family members, is now available as a sharing platter with rice, bread, or noodles. Foo Kui Lian's cooking relies on fresh ingredients and her mother's unique spice blend, which she often compares to Gordon Ramsay's advice. The restaurant's chef experimented with the chicken curry recipe multiple times before it was approved by the family.

Quality control remains stringent, with Madam Foo personally overseeing the preparation of their special chilli sauce. Tian Tian's flagship outlet aims to serve more customers, including tourists who may not have ample time in Singapore, by offering more food and extended hours.
