Third iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 Public Betas Now Available

Apple released the third public betas of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, allowing compatible device owners to download and test the updated software. These betas followed two weeks after the second beta release. To participate, users must sign up on Apple's beta website and then choose the iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 Public Beta option within the Settings menu.

The iOS 27 update introduces a more powerful Siri AI with web search capabilities, personal information access, screen visibility, and app-wide actions. This new Siri is akin to Claude or ChatGPT, featuring a dedicated Siri app for conversational exchanges. Compatible devices require Apple Intelligence support to utilize Siri AI.

Apple also refined its Liquid Glass design, including a slider to adjust transparency levels. AI features expanded across Apple apps, with Visual Intelligence now in the Camera app, offering features such as nutritional information for meals and bill splitting. Siri can generate text or assist in refining writing with the Write with Siri feature.

New AI photo editing tools appeared in the Photos app, while Safari organizes tabs automatically, and users can create Shortcuts and Safari extensions using natural language commands. AirPods now feature custom EQ, the Home app supports 4K video cameras, and new child safety controls were introduced for parents. Numerous performance enhancements were made across devices, resulting in faster app launches, quicker AirDrop transfers, expeditious keyboard loading, and more.
