BBC Sport has mapped the voting intentions of all 210 member associations, revealing a complex web of support and opposition.

While 73 associations currently support Infantino, 124 are against him, with 13 undecided. Europe, Africa, and Asia represent the largest voting blocs, with 55, 54, and 46 votes respectively. However, this support is not unanimous, with several European countries, such as England, Scotland, and Wales, withdrawing their endorsements.

The backlash intensified when Uefa, Concacaf, and the AFC accused Infantino of breaking their trust through deception. Meanwhile, some confederations, like Mexico and New Zealand, have publicly supported Infantino. The potential for a unity candidate to challenge Infantino is also under consideration, with a candidate needing a significant majority to win.

The upcoming FIFA Council meeting, which can be called if 19 of the 37 members call for it, could further shift the political landscape. The outcome will depend on the decisions of key confederation leaders and the emergence of a clear challenger to Infantino.
