Seven-year-old Indonesian boy found drowned after falling into river in Subang Jaya

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 11 — A seven-year-old Indonesian boy tragically drowned after falling into a river while playing with friends near Matahari Supermarket in Subang Jaya, Selangor. The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) reported that the boy's body was discovered approximately three kilometres away from the incident site at 10.59am on the morning of Aug 11.

The search and rescue operation, which involved personnel from multiple fire and rescue stations, faced significant challenges due to the strong current, potential rain upstream, and several rapids. The body was identified by the boy's parents at the Fire Control Centre and subsequently handed over to the police for further action.
