Rapid KL confirms sexual harassment allegation on Sri Rampai-Setiawangsa train

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 11 — Rapid KL has officially acknowledged receiving reports of an alleged sexual harassment incident on one of its trains, according to Kosmo! Online. The alleged incident reportedly took place on the Kelana Jaya Line between Sri Rampai and Setiawangsa stations. Following the occurrence, Rapid KL's auxiliary police team intervened, assisting both parties involved and transporting them to the Setiawangsa police station to file a police report.

Rapid KL stated, "Rapid KL Auxiliary Police provided assistance and escorted both individuals to the Setiawangsa Police Station to lodge a police report." The case has since been transferred to the police for further investigation. The incident gained widespread attention on social media after a commotion erupted on the train, with a woman allegedly screaming and several passengers attempting to restrain a man.

The alleged incident reportedly occurred around 8:30am while the train was near the Setiawangsa LRT station. Social media users, who claimed to be present at the scene, also reported that the woman accused the man of touching her during their journey from Sri Rampai to Setiawangsa.
