Pradhan calls Rahul 'habitual liar', takes 'selective democracy' jibe at Congress

Former union education minister and BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan has accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of being a "habitual liar" and accused the opposition party of spreading falsehoods about student interests. Pradhan made the accusations while addressing protests in Jharkhand over irregularities and paper leaks in competitive examinations. The Congress is part of the ruling alliance in the state, led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Pradhan stated that Rahul Gandhi lacks facts and never wants to come to Parliament to listen to answers, instead choosing to spread lies and shed "crocodile tears." He also accused Rahul and the Congress of making "baseless" and "factless" allegations against the Home Minister, Amit Shah.

The BJP leader asserted that the government is ready for parliamentary discussions on every issue, but the Congress is obstructing democracy and crushing the interests of the country and youth. He further accused the opposition of creating "chaos" outside Parliament during proceedings inside the House.

Pradhan specifically targeted the JMM-Congress government in Jharkhand, accusing them of following a policy of "selective democracy" by using force against students when protests occur and spreading lies and commotion when they want to shine politically. He questioned Rahul Gandhi's silence on the Jharkhand protests, noting that the Congress leader holds press conferences on "every issue" but has not commented on the student agitation.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi held a press conference on Monday, expressing his support for peaceful protests and calling on the Jharkhand government to resolve student concerns through dialogue. He condemned the use of force against peaceful protesters and urged the state government to continue listening to the students.
