Raja Muda Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, recently concluded a successful event in Melbourne, Australia, aimed at promoting Perlis' culture, cuisine, and tourism. The event, titled "Opening the Promotions of Perlis Cuisine," took place at Roti Bar in Melbourne, and was attended by Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, the Raja Puan Muda Perlis, as well as his second-in-line heir, Syed Sirajuddin Areeb Putra Jamalullail, and his daughters, Sharifah Khatreena Nuraniah Jamalullail and Sharifah Farah Adriana Jamalullail.

The promotion campaign, set to launch on September 1st, aims to introduce the unique culinary heritage of Perlis to an international audience through food diplomacy. In addition to traditional dishes, the campaign will highlight Perlis' cultural and culinary arts on an international stage, opening up opportunities for Australians and international communities to discover the diverse heritage of the state's cuisine.

The event also includes a series of activities such as the "Naga and Traditional Boat Race," "People's Sports Competition," "Gastronomic Festival," and "Local Craft Exhibition." These events will help showcase the maritime heritage, culture, and lifestyle of Perlis' coastal communities, further solidifying the state's identity.

By engaging with local businesses in Melbourne through Roti Bar, a popular restaurant owned by Chef Ray Ulaganathan and Julin Tan, the Perlis government hopes to expand the recognition of Perlis' culinary heritage among international audiences. Through this diplomatic approach to food, the campaign aims to strengthen cultural ties between Malaysia and Australia.
