PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim says lawyers handling Anwar’s defamation suit

PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has stated he will leave it to his lawyers to handle the defamation suit filed against him by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, according to the New Straits Times. The disputed remarks, which form the crux of the lawsuit, are described as general in nature and have been raised by various parties and sources, as per Tuan Ibrahim.

The legal proceedings were initiated at the High Court on Monday, with Anwar's legal team, represented by Datuk Sankara Nair, asserting that the statements are untrue and defamatory towards the Prime Minister. Nair also alleged that the remarks were disseminated through video content and social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, and Tuan Ibrahim's own Facebook account. The accusations encompass both slander and libel.
