Najeem Salaam, the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osun State, is confident ahead of the upcoming election. In a town hall program on Arise News, Salaam assured voters that his commitment to ending political violence and restoring peace would earn him their support. He emphasized that Osun residents are weary of political thuggery and are seeking stable and secure leadership.

According to Salaam, the ADC is perceived as the most peaceful party by Osun people, and he is the sole candidate capable of bringing peace to the state. He warned that electing other candidates could intensify tensions, given that Osun is plagued by thuggery and the proliferation of weapons. Salaam pledged to focus on delivering good governance, promoting human development, and implementing policies to enhance the welfare of residents if elected.

The ADC candidate described himself as a reserved politician who prioritizes research and planning. He highlighted that the practical and achievable proposals in his 10-point agenda are the result of extensive research. Salaam also underlined his grassroots political experience, stating that he began his political career at the local government level, where he engaged directly with communities and understood their challenges.
